Hi, I’m Rosie.

I am a trauma-informed Integrative Therapist (MBACP) and outdoor practitioner, who supports adults to move through difficult life experiences with a greater sense of self-understanding and compassion.

What I mean by ‘trauma-informed’ is that my practice is grounded in safety, trust, choice, and empowerment.

Whether or not you identify your experiences as trauma, my experience has shown me that a trauma-informed approach can be valuable to everyone.

None of us are immune to adversity or struggles in life. Meaningful change often begins with feeling safe enough to explore our experiences with curiosity, rather than pressure or expectation.

Over the past several years, my work with adults both in the therapy room and with trauma recovery groups in our natural outdoor landscapes has deepened my belief in the power of relationship. When we feel genuinely heard and seen, it can make a profound difference to our ability to connect with who we really are and the lives we'd like to lead.

You are welcome to come as you are. We can work with what unfolds at a pace that feels right for you, starting with what feels most important.

“I felt so much shame before, and now I feel like I can take on the world.”

What brings people here

You may be considering therapy because life feels heavy, confusing, or difficult to work through alone.

I often work with adults who are:

  • trying to rebuild after adversity, loss, or life changes

  • struggling with the weight of emotionally supporting a loved one

  • feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns of self-criticism

  • navigating the impacts of chronic illness, disability, injury, or changes in health

  • noticing behaviours or habits that no longer feel helpful or healthy

  • living with low self-worth, guilt, shame, or a sense of disconnection

  • facing relationship difficulties, including the effects of painful or abusive experiences

  • moving through grief or uncertainty

  • facing ongoing stress, burnout, or pressure from work or daily life

  • questioning a sense of identity and meaning

Your experience may feel easy to name, or it might be more difficult to put into words. Either way, there is space for us to explore it.

Therapy doesn’t only have to be about managing difficulties once they have already become overwhelming.

The therapeutic process can also be an opportunity to deepen your understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the resources you already carry – even when things feel relatively steady on the surface.

This kind of work can often create small shifts that ripple outwards in ways that are not always predictable.

If this resonates and you would like to connect, there are a number of ways that sessions can take place – depending on what feels most supportive.

“As my confidence and self-acceptance have grown through therapy, I've started to question other areas of my life. I now feel like I could achieve something better for myself.”

When you feel ready to get in touch, feel free to use the contact form or send an email to: rosie@rosieking.co.uk.

You are welcome to briefly share what brings you here. There is no pressure to say more than you’d like to at this stage.

If you’re not sure where to begin, we can start with a free 20-minute introductory call. This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you, with no expectation to continue.

My priority is that you receive the support that best meets your needs. If for any reason I feel another therapist or service may be a better fit for what you are looking for, I will do my best to point you in a helpful direction.

I aim to respond to all messages by the end of the next working day.
